Back in May, Virgil Abloh took to Instagram story to confirm that he was working on yet another dunk Low. After getting a very brief glimpse of the “White” over the summer, we’re now taking our first look at the Off-White x Nike dunk low “Black”, and it’s as stealthy as it gets.
Painted in an all-black colour scheme, the “Black” works on a smooth leather base with buttery suede panels making their way across the upper. From the toe box all the way to the lateral and medial side Nike Swoosh, each of these aspects have been done up in a fuzzy texture that adds depth to the overall design.
Just like his previous colourways, this Off-White dunk features a dual lacing system that pays homage to classic trail shoes. Not only does it have the usual flat lace set up, a bunch of eyelets are also spread out across the shoe in a zig-zag like fashion for the ultimate lockdown fit.
Of course, it wouldn’t be an Off-White release without the technical verbiage and deconstruction elements. Not only does the tongue boast an exposed foam finish, a massive hole is also punched through the centre, just like Abloh’s most recent Air Jordan 5 collaboration.
According to sneaker insider @py_rates, the Off-White x Nike dunk low “Black” will also be launching alongside a leather and mesh variant sometime in fall 2021. let us know what you think of these colourways, and while you’re here, you might as well get up close with the Off-White x Nike Air Zoom tempo NEXT% “White”!
